# Louie Desktop - Initial Setup

Louie Desktop brings the power of Louie.AI directly to your desktop environment, providing a native application experience for data analysis and visualization.

## Download Louie Desktop

Get started by downloading Louie Desktop for your operating system:

### macOS

**System Requirements:**
- macOS 11.0 (Big Sur) or later
- Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) or Intel processor
- 4GB RAM minimum, 8GB recommended

**Installation:**
1. Download the `.dmg` file
2. Open the downloaded file
3. Drag Louie Desktop to your Applications folder
4. Launch from Applications or Spotlight

### Linux

**System Requirements:**
- Ubuntu 20.04 or later, Fedora 34 or later, or equivalent
- x64 processor
- 4GB RAM minimum, 8GB recommended

**Installation:**
1. Download the `.AppImage` or `.deb` file
2. Make the file executable: `chmod +x Louie-Desktop-*.AppImage`
3. Run the application: `./Louie-Desktop-*.AppImage`

For `.deb` packages:
```bash
sudo dpkg -i Louie-Desktop-*.deb
sudo apt-get install -f
```

### Windows

Windows support is currently in development and will be available soon. Check back for updates or contact support for early access information.

## First Launch

When you first launch Louie Desktop, you'll be greeted with a welcome screen that guides you through the initial setup process:

1. **Sign In** - Connect to your Louie.AI account
2. **Configure API Keys** - Set up your OpenAI API key for AI features
3. **Connect Data Sources** - Link to your existing connectors or create new ones
