Get started by downloading Louie Desktop for your operating system:
macOS#
Download Louie Desktop for Mac
System Requirements:
macOS 11.0 (Big Sur) or later
Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) or Intel processor
4GB RAM minimum, 8GB recommended
Installation:
Download the
.dmgfileOpen the downloaded file
Drag Louie Desktop to your Applications folder
Launch from Applications or Spotlight
Linux#
Download Louie Desktop for Linux
System Requirements:
Ubuntu 20.04 or later, Fedora 34 or later, or equivalent
x64 processor
4GB RAM minimum, 8GB recommended
Installation:
Download the
.AppImageor.debfileMake the file executable:
chmod +x Louie-Desktop-*.AppImageRun the application:
./Louie-Desktop-*.AppImage
For .deb packages:
sudo dpkg -i Louie-Desktop-*.deb
sudo apt-get install -f

First Launch#
When you first launch Louie Desktop, you’ll be greeted with a welcome screen that guides you through the initial setup process:
Sign In - Connect to your Louie.AI account
Configure API Keys - Set up your OpenAI API key for AI features
Connect Data Sources - Link to your existing connectors or create new ones
